Firefighters have had a busy 24 hours yesterday. But not in our own district, we were busy helping neighboring Fire Departments.

To start things off, Point Pleasant Fire Department was working a structure fire, and we were called in to supply a truck to fill in to their department to cover their calls. Pumper 123 responded and filled in to their station on Ewer Ave till the fire was under control.

Within the same timeframe, Rochester Fire Department was working a 5 alarm fire on Otis St. Our ladder truck, Quint 120, was dispatched to fill in to RFD station on Hudson Ave. While filling in, our crews were dispatched to a possible fire at Speedy's Cleaners on Scio St.

It is great relationships and joint training within neighboring fire departments that makes situations like this work flawlessly!
