At approximately 5pm a call was placed to 9-1-1 for a possible kitchen fire on Ridge Road. At approximately the same time we had a walk-up to our Station 1 on Gravel Road for the same. While responding to the location we recieved and update from police on location that they have smoke from the roofline of a structure. Pumper 123 called on location shortly after confirming the police report and stretching a line. Command was established by 123 and Quint 120 started primary water supply. The fire was knocked down in about 15 minutes and a search of the structure for possible occupants was completed. All occupants were able to safely get out of the structure prior to fire department arrival and were being assisted by Red Cross for temporary housing. Webster Pumper 105 responded to the scene as the rapid intervention crew and Penfield provided a Quint as a fill in at our Station 1. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Monroe County Fire Bureau.
