West Webster Assists Male Lost in Park

West Webster with the assistance of Monroe County Sherriffs, New York State Police, Webster Fire Department, and the Monroe County Fire Bureau Special Operations Team assisted a male who was lost in Lucien Morin Park on Empire Blvd tonight at approximately 9:15. Crews were initially dispatched for a male who was walking his dog on the trails in the park who had gotten lost in the snow and was possibly suffering from early signs of hypothermia. Command on location declared a Monroe County Special Operations Level 0 incident which activated the Monroe County Fire Bureau Special Operations Team. Several search teams and the West Webster ATV were deployed and the New York State Police Helicopter was special requested in an effort to locate the male and his dog. The male was found about an hour into the incident and was loaded into an ambulance for transport to the hospital an hour later due to issues getting him extricated from the trails. Male was transported to the hospital for evaluation and fire crews went back in service at approximately 12:30 am.
