At approximately 5:20 in the evening West Webster was dispatched for a report of smoke inside a house on Chanelaine Dr. First arriving units were on scene with nothing showing from the outside of the structure. Upon further investigation units discovered that the house was charged with smoke and the cause was later tracked down to be from a fire within a bedroom. The majority of the fire was contained to the room of origin with minimal fire spread through the rest of the structure. Webster Fire Department responded to the scene as the Rapid Intervention Crew and Penfield Fire Department provided a quint to fill in at our Gravel Road station. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Monroe County Fire Bureau.
