The Channel 13 WHAM Bright spot segment highlights individuals who make a difference in the lives of others and in our community. We are proud to have nominated Dave for this segment

David B. Davis, affectionately known by friends as "the Frog" joined the West Webster Volunteer Fireman's Association 57 years ago on February 2, 1965. A mechanical contractor by trade, he rose through the ranks of the department to become the Fire Chief from 1973-1976, Firefighter of the Year in 1977 and Fire Commissioner from 1978 to 1982.

To this day, he continues to support the Department by active participation on committees and working on special projects around the Firehouse. In the past year alone, he has been instrumental in development of the Firehouse Museum as well as helping to care for the Department's 1935 Antique Firetruck;....a truck he refurbished himself in the 1960's. Never short on words, Dave is always willing to give advice, listen or lend a hand to anyone.
