House Fire on Sherwood Ave in the Village

At approximately 11:30 pm West Webster responded mutual assist to Webster Fire Department for a working fire. Webster received a report of a kitchen fire and first arriving found smoke from a one story house immediately declaring a working fire. Pumper 123 and 1C32 responded to the scene as a rapid intervention crew. Further into the incident a second pumper was requested to the scene by Webster command as well as Union Hill's rescue for cascade. Penfield and Lincoln provided fill ins to Webster and Point Pleasant and Sea Breeze for West Webster. Initial reports were that the resident of the house could possibly still be inside which it was later determined that she had made it out safely. The fire was placed under control shortly after midnight and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
