Don't wait - check the date! Check the manufacture date on your smoke alarms today and replace smoke/CO alarms every 10 years. Installing smoke alarms in every bedroom, outside separate sleeping areas, and on every level of the home, including the basement. All alarms should be tested once a month. If the smoke alarm sounds, get outside and stay outside. Go to your safe meeting place and call the fire department from a cellphone or neighbors phone. Stay outside until the fire department says it's safe to go back inside.

West Webster Fire Department is partnered with the American Red Cross in the "Sound the Alarm" Smoke Alarm Initiative. Residents of West Webster Fire District can request a FREE smoke alarm with an install provided by your local firefighters. To request a smoke alarm, please call 585-241-4390 or email smoke.alarms.grc@redcross.org or fill out the request form on westwebsterfd.org under the "Public Information" tab.
