Serious accident on 104

On Tuesday, August 20, at approximately 9:24 AM, several Webster emergency response agencies responded for a multi vehicle accident with people trapped on 104 west of Five Mile Line Road. West Webster Command arrived and confirmed the multi-vehicle crash with numerous patients and confirmed a male trapped in a box truck.Webster Fire Department was also responding due to reports of the accident in their district at Holt and 104.

Crews from West Webster and Webster worked collaboratively to extricate the victim quickly from the box truck utilizing the “Jaws of Life." Fire crews also assisted with scene and vehicle stabilization while other patients were treated by on-scene medical personnel from West Webster Ambulance, Webster Ambulance, and Northeast quadrant advanced life support. Several patients were transported to area hospitals. Although serious, none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening. The investigation is being conducted by the New York State Police.
