For our October Member of the Month, the Line and Civil Office would like to recognize Matt Sauers.

Matt demonstrates his commitment to serving his community in everything he does. Matt is currently a Career Lieutenant with the City of Rochester assigned to Engine 2. Matt has held previous ranks within the Line Office at West Webster. When Matt isn't working as a Career Firefighter or at home spending time with his family, he is volunteering. Matt continues to wear several different hats.. Matt truly shows what it means to be dedicated to serving and help others.

Matt continues to bring his knowledge and skills for all us when he plans and leads drills. His teaching ability, personality, and positive attitude always makes the drills that he leads very interesting and rewarding for all participants. Matt also has been know to step in front of the camera as West Webster Public Information Officer when needed.

Matt is a member of the West Webster Honor Guard and the City of Rochester Honor Guard team. As a member of our Honor Guard, he helps us train on Presenting Colors and many other duties associated with being a member of the honor guard. He is an integral member of our Honor Guard through practices and events that the team supports.

Thank you Matt for always making a positive difference in our community and at West Webster. Matt is someone who regularly goes above and beyond without prompting. The Line and Civil Office would like to recognize and congratulate Matt Sauers as this months Member of the Month.
