I am proud to announce that one of winners of the New York State Fire District Officers Association scholarships was Sarah Ball! Sarah is the daughter of longtime Chief Brian Ball of The Union Hill Fire Dept. She is one of four $1500.00 scholarship winners out of hundreds from across the state. Fellow region 5 director of the State Association Ken Preston from North Greece Fire District, along with myself will present the check to Sarah at the R.L. Thomas awards ceremonies on Thursday the 9th of June at 7:00 pm.
