Vehicle into a building

At approximately 9:50 am on Sunday September 8th, West Webster Fire and Ambulance was dispatched for a vehicle into a building with injuries. The first arriving West Webster fire officer on scene reported that the vehicle was well into the building with severe structural concerns. Due to the severity of the damage, a Level 1 Monroe County Special Operations assignment was requested to help assist stabilize the building prior to removing the vehicle from the building. Crews integrated with team members of the MCSOU Special Operations team to stabilize the structure. Once the initial stabilization was finalized, the vehicle was removed from the building. Additional shoring needed to be completed to stabilize the building due to the amount of damage. Crews remained on scene for approximately three hours until the building was stabilized.

West Webster was assisted on scene by Webster Police, Northeast Quadrant Paramedics, Monroe County Special Operations Unit, Barth's Towing, and Webster Fire. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by Webster Police.
