In the morning hours of August 18th, West Webster responded for a vehicle fire close to the structure. First arriving units reported a vehicle going good, everyone out of the structure, and a possible extension into the garage. Based on the update of possible extension into the house, a pumper from Webster Fire was started. The vehicle fire was knocked down quickly with crews checking the house for extension. It was determined that there was no additional extension into the structure besides for the melted siding.

West Webster remained on scene for approximately one hour while the Monroe County Fire Bureau investigated the cause. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation from the Monroe County Fire Bureau.
