Lawnmower over the cliff with a person trapped

West Webster responded along with Webster PD and Northeast Quadrant ALS for a person on a lawnmower that went over a cliff on Inspiration Point. Once on scene, it was determined that the victim was trapped underneath a commercial lawn mower and would require an extensive extrication including the use of rope equipment. The male was approximately 15-25 feet down the embankment. The Monroe County Special Operations unit was requested to assist with extricating the person from underneath the lawn mower. It took firefighters on scene approximately one hour to free the trapped victim. The victim was transported to Strong Memorial via West Webster Ambulance and Northeast Quadrant ALS.

The West Webster Fire Department with the assistance of the Monroe County Special Operations unit remained on scene to remove the lawn mower from the side of the embankment.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by Webster Police.
